New Name of Czech Charity

Czech Charity bears a new name: from 1st January 2007 it is 'Charita Česká republika', in English 'Caritas Czech Republic'.Full text of the news in Czech: HERE.

Prague: Instead of previous 'Czech Catholic Charity Association', from the first day of 2007 the Czech Charity bears an English name 'Caritas Czech Republic', official Czech name is 'Charita Česká republika'. Despite the name change, there is continuity with the previous organization.

Another change is of organizational kind: instead of General Secretary, from 1 Jan 2007 head of Caritas CR is a President, proposed by the Caritas' Council and affirmed by the Czech Bishops' Conference.
