The Apostolic Nunciature in Prague stated yesterday, Feb 5, 2009 that Apostolic Nuncio to the Czech Republic Archbishop Diego Causero was transferred to hospital.
Prague: Apostolic Nuncio Diego Causero was transported to hospital yesterday, Feb 5, 2009 because of suspicion of a brain stroke.
Archbishop Diego Causero, born 1940, comes from Italy. In 1973 he entered the diplomatic service of the Holy See and worked at apostolic nunciatures in several countries, last of them, before coming to our country, was Syria.
He was appointed apostolic nuncio to the Czech Republic in 2004.
