H.E. Mons. Pavel Konzbul is a new bishop in Brno

Curriculum vitae of Bishop Pavel Konzbul
H.E. Bishop Pavel Konzbul was born on 17 October 1965 in Brno-Juliánov.
In 1989, he graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Brno University of Technology. He worked at the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in Brno where he obtained a Doctorate in Electromagnetic Field Theory.
He then entered the Major Seminary in Olomouc and, after completing his philosophical-theological studies, was ordained a priest on 28 June 2003, incardinating himself into the Brno Diocese.
He was Parish Vicar in Letovice, Boskovice and Hustopeče u Brna (2003-2005) and Spiritual Father of the Bishop's Lyceum in Brno (2005-2013); Parish Priest of the Cathedral and Canon of the Royal Chapter of Sts Peter and Paul in Brno and Member of the Presbyteral Council.
On 21 May 2016 he was appointed Titular Bishop of Litomyšl and Auxiliary Bishop of the Brno Diocese. He received episcopal consecration on the following 29 June.
