Mons. Pavel Posád
He was born on 28 June 1953 in Budkov. Having finished the primary school, he entered the grammar school in Moravske Budejovice and from 1972 he studied the Ss Cyril and Methodius' Faculty in Litomerice. On 26 June 1977 he was ordained a priest.
For 3 years he served in Pozorice, then in Brno-Zidenice and Lomnice u Tisnova. In 1980-1982 he administered Ratiskovice, then he was replaced to the border region, parish of Drnholec. In 1989 he became a parish priest in Trest.
When the Communist regime fell, he was appointed parish priest at St Thomas' in Brno. Three years later he became spiritual of the Archbishop's seminary in Olomouc.
On 24 December 2003 he was appointed bishop of Litomerice, his episcopal ordination took place on 28 February 2004 in St Stephen's cathedral in Litomerice. On 26 Jan 2008, he was appointed auxiliary bishop of Ceske Budejovice.
